true

heart

In Japanese, the word makoto means “true” and kokoro means “heart.”

Kokoro is also a word that conceptually unites the elements of mind, body, spirit, and soul.

Together, they form the word magokoro.

Asako Chihaya, MS, CN is a holistic health educator, a certified nutritionist, and the founder of Magokoro Wellness. Her focus is on inclusive and affirming care for neurodivergent adults.

Magokoro Wellness values building relationships based on mutual respect and trust, providing compassionate and equitable care, and creating a safe space where people feel seen, heard, and supported. I believe that true changes take place when individuals feel empowered to become their own advocate and active participants in their care. I’m here to help folks build on their strengths, discover their own path, and navigate challenges. Because health is multidimensional, I use a whole person approach to wellness, which takes the mind, body, and spirit into consideration. Rather than solely focusing on eradicating the symptoms, I believe it’s necessary to look for the underlying cause and care for the whole person.

Magokoro Wellness is committed to building a practice that is anti-oppressive and anti-ableist, inclusive and affirming, trauma-informed and intersectional.
